What types of content do you publish?
The journal is about applied governance, and the ways that governance intersects with robotics, systems theory, computer science, the natural sciences, anthropology, psychology and the social sciences.
If this seems broad, this is the intention. LAMP is an interdisciplinary journal for practitioners and academics who want to learn about governance experiments. We do not plan to reject based on the topic not being tight enough; we embrace inquiry that is hard to pin-down.
Design and ecology papers could also be accepted if they tie in a takeaway to consider along the question of governance.
We welcome niche technical expertise that informs or furthers broader governance knowledge. This can include technical field guides as well as broad runbooks.
If you are not sure if your writing will fit in, feel free to err on the side of submitting. A rejected submission does not affect your chances of acceptance in the future, or start a clock for when you can submit again.
Additionally, we publish think pieces, stories from the field, and occasional fiction and poetry on this website and in future print editions. Although these would not be peer reviewed, they would undergo an editorial process.

Do you charge submission fees?
No.
Can I make multiple submissions at once?
Yes.
What are your word limits?
We do not have word limits. Our editorial staff is committed to making each piece the best it can be, following standards of clarity for its genre. Given that we accept a wide range of pieces, and appreciate cross-genre pieces, we do not use word limits.
I had already published something on my own website, or on a preprint server. Can I still submit it here?
Yes. As long as you are not violating a contract you are aware of with another entity, you can submit your work to LAMP.
